How does the built environment impact health of the community? Tropic Care 2016 Kauaʻi is an Office of Secretary Defense sponsored, Air National Guard-led, joint and interagency training event coordinated with the Kauaʻi district health office, Kauaʻi City Council, and other community partners. This is the 2nd year Tropic Care has been held on Kauaʻi. It provided training for the National Guard and provided health services to our communities. In addition to providing free health services that include vision, dental, behavioral health, and medical services, they also worked with community partners to complete the Ke Ala Hele Makalae path along the beach, part of supporting the built environment.
