Gloria Fernandez, Jan Nishihira, Georgine Pānui, Keiki Immunization Clinic

The Department of Health Immunization branch and the Public Health Nursing branch provides free vaccinations to children under 18 years old through the Vaccines for Children Program. This service is provided in the community across the state for families without health insurance. Many of these families are immigrants or migrants. However, it is much more than giving vaccines. It is about providing access to health care as well as other resources to support the families living in Hawaiʻi.

Next you will hear from the Leeward Oʻahu Public Health nurses, Gloria Fernandez, Jan Nishihira, and Georgine Pānui on how they support access to not just health services, but many other resources based on the families needs.
