In addition to the Hawaii Department of Health’s Strategic Plan, there are specific areas that different divisions in the Department are responsible for addressing.
The Hawaii Department of Health’s Maternal-Child Health Division identified 11 State Priority Needs that fall under the Division’s responsibility. Of these, 10 are related to improving the health of women and families in Hawaii;
However, some focus more clearly on women’s health issues (for example, State Priority Need #1). This table provides an outline of those.
Of the remaining priority needs, 5 focus more specifically on infant and child health with one other that focuses on the Maternal-Child Health Division improving engagement with external partners.
